On-Call Field Surveying Services, State Highway Administration, Statewide, Maryland

A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. provided variety of surveying services to the MD State Highway Administration for various task assignments that have included:

  • MD Route 7 at White Marsh: AMT provided establishment of survey control base and spur lines, topographic survey, and right of way location survey.
  • MD Route 193 from Keverton Drive to MD Route 202: AMT provided topographic data collection, set air targets and ties, set traverse and air target levels, tied in inverts, located wetlands, located features missing from aerial topography, and established horizontal and vertical controls.
  • MD Route 210 Summers Road to NSWC Entrance: AMT established horizontal and vertical controls, and located isolated individual trees and wood lines within the limits of survey.
  • I 270 and US Route 15: AMT performed a wetlands location survey along 35 miles of right of way.
  • MD Route 129 at I 695: AMT provided a topographic survey for a stream restoration project.
  • MD Route 140 at I 695: AMT established control, topographic and bridge structure surveys.
  • Woodrow Wilson Bridge: AMT provided GPS survey control, as well as Potomac River cross sections.
  • MD Route 201 at MD Route 410: AMT provided topographic, metes and bounds, and right of way surveys for a streetscape project.
  • MD 201 at Bridge #16028 over Amtrak: AMT provided topographic and wetland surveys.
  • US 29 at Musgrove/Fairlands Roads: AMT provided a property survey.
  • MD Route 550 at Retaining Wall #X10054 along Owens Creek: AMT field located 45 wetland flags in standard ETSC format, recovered existing control, and provided additional CADD points set off the existing horizontal and vertical controls.
  • MD Route 180: AMT established horizontal and vertical control including all topographic and planimetric features not collected by photogrammetry including pipe inverts, pipe directions, obscure areas, etc.
  • MD Route 414 from John Hanson Highway to I 95 NB Ramp/Brinkley Road: AMT collected survey data including drainage structures, ditches, pipe sizes, inverts, and utilities, and established horizontal GPS Control within the project area.
  • MD Route 32 from MD Route 108 to I 70: AMT provided 42 stream cross sections beginning at Rosemary Lane and ending at Nixons Farm Road.
