Red Tunnel 2nd and D Street, SE, Washington, D.C.

A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) performed survey services in support of the engineering design of the renovation of the failing ceiling of the utility tunnel serving the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) properties. Survey services included topographic survey of street right of way above the utility tunnel, establishment of street right of way and adjacent property lines, property ownership information survey of public utilities and interior tunnel as-built location survey. The subsurface survey was completed under extreme conditions including confined space, which required special hazard training. Deliverables included electronic MicroStation/ CAD files with supporting DTM files of base map drawing in AOC CAD standards.
