Knox Road Utility Designation, Location/Test Holes, College Park, Maryland

For construction of roadways associated with residential facilities on the campus of the University of Maryland, A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. directed and provided a wealth of subsurface utility engineering and field surveying services including the following:

  • Utility designation including a thorough electronic search of the site for buried utility systems
  • Obtaining permits necessary for test hole excavation
  • Test hole excavation utilizing air/vacuum excavation, in a manner causing no damage to the utility structure
  • Determination of information about each located utility including depth, material, and general direction of the utility
  • Field collection of utility elevation data
  • Test hole report preparation

AMT also provided topographic and boundary surveys, and preparation of easement plats associated with this project.
