On-Call Utility Adjustments and Relocation Plans, VDOT

Provided surveying (including preparation of easements and plats), and preparation of utility adjustment plans for the relocation of utilities associated with proposed highway improvements. Task assignments included:

Route 17 Bypass Water and Sewer Adjustments and Relocations: Design of relocations of sanitary and water services involved with construction of 2.6 miles of roadway. Water mains ranged from 6 to 16". Fire hydrants and water meters were relocated. Sewer work included 6 -12" lines.

Route 522 Water Line Relocations: Design of water line relocations associated with highway improvement project including preparation of plans, special specifications, and details. Coordination with local utilities for communication and cable TV.

Virginia Beach Boulevard at Military Highway Utility Adjustments: Utility surveying and mapping associated with the design/relocation of underground utilities.

College Street Water System Relocation: Preparation of plans, profiles, and details for water system relocation.

Utility Adjustments for 9th and 10th Streets: Provided utility location surveys, property and topographic surveys for design of utility adjustments and relocations associated with roadway improvements.

Woodlawn Road Water Line Extensions: Route surveys and stake out for 2 miles of arterial widening including the extension of existing water lines; annotation of topographic features and utility locations.

Route 33 Improvements: Utility locations; review of test hole data and proposed roadway plans to identify potential conflicts; evaluation of existing utility system conditions; preparation of plans and profile sheets and details for required utility relocations.
