Terminal A Rehabilitation and Related Facilities, National Airport

AMT is under contract for Terminal A Rehabilitation design including renovation of the existing 1941 Main Terminal, 1948 Extension and 1956 Baggage Room Extension; a new north baggage claim facility and ground transportation entrance; a new Southwest Airline departure lounge and operations space extension, related airside/ramp improvements; related landside road, parking and landscape improvements; and widening the existing Terminal A-B Connector and demolition of all non-historic 1955-1970 building additions.

Civil engineering project components included:

  • Site utilities
  • Curbside roads and walks, including vehicle flow/capacity analysis
  • Grading and drainage
  • Pavement striping plans
  • Landside roadway changes, Grand Circle restoration and exterior canopies
  • Roadway signage
