University of Maryland Softball Field, College Park, Maryland
A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. provided site and civil engineering services associated with the renovation/reconstruction of an existing softball field at the University of Maryland College Park. The new softball facility meets the requirements for NCAA women's softball. The facility includes a 1,200-seat stadium, lighted competition field, outfield fencing, irrigation system, electronic scoreboard, press box, batting cages for both home and away teams, restrooms, concession stands, storage and security fencing.
