Dear Friends,

I am proud to announce that AMT has reached another great milestone - the addition of the firm to the ENR 500 list (top 500 firms in the nation)!

AMT's success would not be possible without the dedication and innovation of our employees, and I would like to personally congratulate each and every one of you on this achievement. We continue to exceed our goals year after year because of all of your hard work and commitment to project excellence.

You can read about this accomplishment in "The Top 500 Design Firms" article in the April 21st issue of ENR Magazine.

Sincerely,

Michael J. Wiercinski, P.E., President and Chief Executive Officer

MD ROUTE 4.

AMT's MD Route 4 (Pennsylvania Avenue) project has been rated as the third top transportation project in Maryland by the Washington Post! The project is described as solving the severe traffic congestion that occurs during peak hours, which will increase with planned development in the area. The Post states that the project is designed to relieve congestion and accommodate development.

CQIP

AMT scored high with the Construction Quality Improvement Program (CQIP), which is a VDOT standard of measuring projects. Projects must receive a score of 92 or higher. AMT received ratings of 96.8 on the NOVA Project and 96.7 on the Bridge Project in the Bristol District.

2008 VDOT INSPECTOR'S CONFERENCE

Murphy’s safety topic was "Internal Traffic Control Plans", the same topic of our CI newsletter for December 2007. There were about 120 VDOT employees in the audience. Murphy also gave the welcoming address at the Richmond District Annual Inspectors Conference on February 5th and 6th in Richmond. Her topic there was the different roles of Consultant vs. VDOT inspectors.
