SENIOR TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER/HIGHWAY

Seeking a skilled professional Senior Transportation Engineer with the expertise to assume a key role at the firm's Richmond, Virginia office. This person will have 5-15 years experience in Virginia working on Highway engineering projects. This person must also have experience working with VDOT.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering
• Professional Engineering License in Virginia or Ability to obtain within 90 days
• 5+ years of Highway Design experience
• Must be very skilled in Microstation and GeoPak

The selected candidate will perform as Project Manager and/or Senior Project Engineer, provide geometric expertise, and is responsible for the coordination and implementation of roadway and street design elements including project management, preparation of plans and specifications, agency coordination and public involvement and outreach. Candidates should have demonstrated expertise in preparation of highway project drawings including geometric layouts, profiles, cross sections, drainage, grading, utilities, quantities, and cost estimates in compliance with VDOT standards. Proficiency and expertise in using Microstation/GeoPak is a must.

TRANSPORTATION / DESIGN ENGINEERS

Requirements include BSCE with 2 to 5 years experience in transportation design, experience may include engineering studies, alignment development, geometrics, drainage, and construction plan preparation. Familiarity with permitting, specifications, cost estimating, and public presentations is a plus. P.E. preferred or must be eligible to take the exam, proficiency with Microstation is required.
